How The False Sun Endings Work

StatWhat It DoesHow To Raise It
AgilityDetermines if you can outrun or fight SilasDo farm minigames yourself. Letting Silas handle chores keeps it low.
BraveryDetermines if you will question him or stand your groundVisit the pier, ask about your grandpa, press him on the past. Avoiding the pier keeps bravery low.
Relationship WarmthControls how Silas treats you — affectionate or cold and suspiciousSay yes to him. Kiss him first. Tell him you love him. Rejecting or being distant cools it.
ConvincingDetermines if he believes you when you lieBuilt through consistency — warmth + reliable farm work. Mixed signals tank it.

Farm work is the hidden backbone of all The False Sun endings. Whether you do chores yourself or let Silas do them determines your agility — and agility determines which options are available when he snaps. The game also tracks which chores you skipped, not just how many. Skipping egg collecting while acing cattle herding, for example, is noticed — and leads straight to a specific ending.

The Five Branches

The False Sun endings all flow from five branch points. Which branch you land on — and what you can do when you get there — depends on the stats you built in the first half of the game.

Branch 1: The Pier Confrontation — Endings 2–9

How to reach it:Accept Silas's invitation to the pier, then refuse to go into the water. He drops the act. You run. Three options appear — kick him, free your hands, or play along. Which options are available depends on your agility and relationship.

The Pier opens the largest set of The False Sun endings — eight in total, covering everything from clean survival to the darkest outcomes in the game.

Ending 2: You Will Always Remember

Requirements:High agility (do all farm work yourself). High bravery.

Choices:Refuse water → "What if you're the one who got it all wrong?" → RUNKick him

Result:You fight him off. Silas gets a year in jail. He sends a postcard from the pier. One word: "Remember?"

Ending 3: The Truth Does Not Always Save You

Requirements:Low agility (let Silas do all farm work).

Choices:Refuse water → "What if you're the one who got it all wrong?" → RUN"No…"

Result:Your body is too weak. You survive, but the ending is bleak.

Ending 4: The Cage Really Was Golden(Neutral)

You talk him down instead of running. He stops — and then he makes the offer: agree to be happy with him, and you keep the freedom to do anything you want, except be with someone else.

You agree, and the route ends there. The game never shows you what the relationship became.

This is a neutral ending, not a bad one, and the game marks it in a way that is easy to miss: the ending illustration is yellow. The False Sun codes the tone of its ending screens by colour, and yellow is the ambiguous register rather than the tragic one.

Which is the right reading. Silas is appeased, you are not killed, and you were handed a version of exactly what you asked for — freedom with one exception. What the ending never gives you is any promise he keeps it, or that you were given a real choice.

Ending 5: You Closed The Door Yourself

You play along. You tell Silas you understand him, that you feel it too — whatever stops him from killing you — and the lie holds. He takes you with him, out to the outskirts of a town neither of you has history in, and keeps you there.

Eventually — long enough that you have stopped counting the months — he leaves the front door open and tells you that you can go. He says he will not stop you.

You close the door yourself. By then you have taken his version of those months as the truth — that the way he treats you is your fault, that he is all you have left — and you stay. The game does not offer you the choice; it tells you that you made it.

The ending turns on one question it never answers: when he left that door open, did he mean it? Either he genuinely gave you a way out and you refused it, or the open door was the last test of your loyalty — and you passed it for him. The name comes from the second reading.

Ending 6: You Were Not Convincing Enough

Requirements:Ace cattle herding twice, but skip egg collecting and feeding entirely. Mixed relationship signals.

Choices:Refuse water → "What if you're the one who got it all wrong?" → RUNPlay along → try to lie about loving him

Result:He knows you are lying. He cites the skipped chores and mixed signals as proof. Smashes your head against a drawer. Death.

Ending 7: He No Longer Believes

Requirements:Low agility (let Silas do everything).

Choices:Refuse water → "What if you're the one who got it all wrong?" → RUN"Yes…"

Result:You cannot run fast enough. He catches you. He no longer believes anything you say. Death.

Ending 8: Wounded Lamb

Requirements:Less than 6 agility. Do cattle herding twice, complete all egg collecting.

Choices:Refuse the swim invitation → keep questioning him → RUNKick him

Result:You fight back. Both bleed. Neither wins.

Ending 9: Your Place Was Never By His Side

You ignore everything you have learned and let him move to the city with you. The game gives you a montage first — the two of you ordinary and happy, in daylight — and then cuts to Silas strangling you, because he has decided you cheated on him.

There is no scene where you did anything. The montage is the trap: he got the life he asked for, and he was still counting. Read this one against the Story page → — it is the game's clearest statement that his danger was never caused by what you did.

Branch 2: The Kyle Path — Endings 10–11

How to reach it:Be warm to Kyle. Be cold to Silas. Let Silas do all farm work. This is the only branch where someone else helps you.

The Kyle path yields two of the most rewarding The False Sun endings — true escape endings where you are not fighting alone.

Ending 10: You Promised To Come Back

Requirements:Friendly with Kyle. Cold toward Silas. Let Silas do all farm work.

Key choices

  • Agree to pier → tell him not to do that again
  • Ask about good memories → say it's a shame you don't remember
  • Refuse to let him stay over the first night
  • With Kyle:"It is probably because you are a good person."
  • After falling in water, stay silent
  • When he leans in to kiss at night:pull away
  • Fire scene, when asked about feelings:say no
  • Back at farm:"Yeah, it is best you go back home."
  • Complete bunny puzzle → cutscene triggers

Result:Kyle rescues you. Silas is arrested. Kyle explains the backstory — the affair child, the shunned village — but is clear:"It is not an excuse for anything he has done." You and Kyle push for psychiatric help instead of jail.

Ending 11: Eyes

Requirements:Friendly with Kyle. Complete every farm minigame perfectly. High bravery.

Key choices

  • With Kyle:"I can put up with you" and "Maybe because you are a good person"
  • Complete ALL farm minigames perfectly
  • Go to pier → ask about grandpa → raise bravery
  • Fire scene, when asked about feelings:say "I don't"
  • Let Silas stay over
  • Wake from nightmare → ask about the barn
  • Grab the knife before he stabs you (fast reflexes required)
  • Choose the correct path to the bridge

Result:You escape across the bridge. One of the hardest endings to unlock — requires maxed farm work, fast reflexes, and knowing the route — but rewards a clean exit.

Branch 3: Barn & River — Endings 12–15

How to reach it:Complete the bunny puzzle → wake from nightmare → ask Silas about the barn.

These The False Sun endings all turn on a single moment — whether you grab the knife in time, and whether you pick the right path in the dark.

Ending 12: You Should Have Been Braver

Requirements:Low bravery. Avoid the pier entirely. Let Silas do all farm work.

Choices:Nightmare → ask about barn → correct path to river → freeze

Result:You make it to the water but are too scared to cross. He finds you there.

Ending 13: The Water Does Not Let Go

Requirements:High agility (do most farm work). Get stabbed during the barn escape.

Choices:Nightmare → ask about barn → Silas stabs you (miss the knife grab) → correct path to river anyway

Result:You bleed into the river. He finds you before the water takes you.

Ending 14: Rake

Requirements:Any stats.

Choices:Nightmare → ask about barn → choose wrong paths in the dark

Result:A wrong step. No chase. No dialogue. Just silence. One of the quickest deaths.

Ending 15: He Was Faster

Requirements:Fast enough to grab the knife — too slow to run.

Choices:Nightmare → ask about barn → grab the knife (success) → don't press run in time

Result:You disarm him for a second. Then he catches you and stabs you again.

Branch 4: The Nightmare Route — Endings 16–19

How to reach it:Complete the bunny puzzle → when Silas wakes you, say "I had a nightmare" instead of asking about the barn. You stay in bed. The danger is psychological.

Four more The False Sun endings open from this branch — none of them involve running, but some of them are the darkest outcomes in the entire game.

Ending 16: You Made Your Choice

Requirements:Any stats.

Choices:Nightmare → keep lying there → agree to his terms

You disregard every warning you have been given and let Silas move back to the city with you. This is the same fork as Ending 9 — the game treats both as the two outcomes of that one decision, split by what happens next.

What happens in this one is that he sees you with your friend Noah and beats him to death in a rage, and is sentenced to life for it.

There is no chase and no ambush. Noah dies of a jealousy that was never about anything Noah did, and Silas is removed from your life by a prison sentence rather than by anything you managed to do. You are the only person who walks away from it, and the ending does not let that read as survival. Read it against the Silas page → — it is the same counting instinct as every other ending, arriving late enough that you had stopped watching for it.

It does confirm one thing. This ending and Ending 1 are the two places the game clarifies that his apologies during his attacks were sincere — he cannot control the outbursts, and the regret is real. Here that fact buys nothing. Someone is dead, he is gone for life, and you are the one who brought him there.

Ending 17: He Took Away Your Freedom

Requirements:Any stats.

Choices:Nightmare → try to leave"No!!"

Result:He forces a suicide pact. You survive, but you are convicted. The game's title screen changes permanently.

Ending 18: You Became A Hostage To Your Guilt

Requirements:Any stats. Complete the puzzle.

Choices:Nightmare → try to leave → gun goes off during the struggle

Result:You accidentally shoot Silas. He does not die — but you never leave. You stay out of guilt, watching over someone who once watched you too closely.

Ending 19: He Stopped Hoping

Requirements:Low relationship warmth. Keep your distance from Silas.

Choices:Nightmare → keep lying there → refuse → say you know the whole truth

Result:Silas walks away. You hear a shotgun. He took away his own hope — and his own life. One of the darkest endings.

Branch 5: The Relationship Path — Ending 1

Only one of The False Sun endings sits on the Relationship path — and it is the one most players are aiming for.

Ending 1: He Let You Go(Golden Ending)

Requirements:Give all farm work to Silas. Answer every dialogue the way he wants. Refuse the pier invitation. Kiss him first. Tell him you love him. Refuse to move to the city.

Exact dialogue path

SceneChoice
Under the tree, he says something romantic"That's cute."
He asks if you've had a partnerSay you haven't.
He tells you about a dream"Was it soft on the cloud?"
Nighttime, he leans in to kiss youKiss him first.
Morning afterCover his nose with your hand.
Swimming scene, evening by the fireTell him you love him.
After the nightmareSay you had a nightmarekeep lying there
He wants to move to the cityRefuse.

Result:Silas agrees to psychiatric treatment. He lets you go — not because he stopped wanting you, but because for the first time, he is trying to want something else. The ending image is gold.

Ending 20: Cast(Secret Ending)

How to reach it:Fail the tutorial. This is the joke ending — the game decides you are not cut out for this before the story even starts.

  1. Cattle herding:Put animals in the wrong pens, or skip the minigame by pressing "finished"
  2. Chicken feeding:Keep missing the chicken until the game gives up
  3. After the minigames, click on the chicken

Important:The trigger is partially random. Even with all conditions met, you may need to restart the tutorial and try several times.

Result:An early, absurd bad end — a fourth-wall joke for players who have already seen everything else.
